Once you have had a busy day enjoying the many attractions the Scottish Borders has to offer what better than to cosy up in our traditional country inn with our roaring log fire or relax in our quaint, elegant dining room enjoying a home cooked delicious meal.
MEET OUR CHEF
Our Chef, Aaron Rowe brings new life and tastes to The Plough Hotel kitchen to create wonderful, flavoursome dishes.
Aaron has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. He shares our passion for producing top dishes, created using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients.

As ever, all food is prepared by Aaron, fresh to order and he will happily discuss any specific dietary requirements you may have. Specific menus can be created for any special occasion you may be celebrating.
Menus will be changing seasonally and most nights will feature a special so be sure to call before you come if you want to know what’s on the menu. We look forward to seeing you!
COFFEE SHOP
We would be delighted to welcome you daily, except Wednesday's, into The Plough Hotel to enjoy your morning coffee and sample some delicious baked goods.
Our talented baker, Gillian Nairn, will make your taste buds tingle with her beautiful home baked goods.
So, whether it be a Morning Breakfast Roll or a Freshly Baked Scone and a Pot of Tea we would love to welcome you.
PRIVATE DINING
The Plough Hotel dining room provides an intimate setting for a dinner party.
We can provide you with your own bespoke menu to fit any occasion. With room for up to 25 people, our dining room could be the perfect location for your next special occasion.
Private Functions
We have been the proud host of many private occasions including birthday celebrations, funerals, engagement party’s and many more.
When you choose us as your venue you can be assured we will take care of everything. We can provide catering from a tailored fine dining menu to a buffet of your choosing.

Our Take-Away menu is served during lunch hours and from 5.00pm - 7.pm.
